How frequently are accountability scores updated?
Immediately and continuously. As soon as a citizen upvotes a report, a department marks a complaint resolved, or a verified review is filed, our backend services automatically re-compute the score.
Can a politician or department pay to alter or delete their score?
Never. CorruptionGram is an independent civic transparency platform. Scores are computed strictly by mathematical code open to public audit. No administrator or official can manually edit an accountability rating.
What happens when a government department completely ignores a grievance?
The days-to-respond counter continues to rise each day. Once response time exceeds 30 days, the Speed component drops to 0. If no official responds, the Response component remains 0%, quickly dragging their public score down to Grade F.
How do departments officially resolve a complaint?
Officials must post on the public report thread with verifiable evidence (such as geotagged photos of completed road paving, cleared garbage, or administrative inquiry reports). Local citizens then confirm the fix.
